Cebu City Hotels
What a wonderful place in the Philippines to visit. Whether you're an annual visitor to Cebu City or a first-time explorer, finding a good hotel to stay in is a must.
Below is a listing of Cebu City hotels along with any discounts on rooms, personal reviews and other key information to help you avoid staying in the wrong place.
Marriott Cebu City
Depending on the hotel deal you get, rooms at the Marriott Cebu City will be slightly above the average Cebu City hotel room rate, which usually $70-$80 nightly. But, it's worth it. We've seen prices from $85 daily to $120.
Generally regarded as one of the best places to stay in Cebu, it's located on Cardinal Rosales Avenue, Cebu City 6000, Philippines. And it's considered a 4-star hotel.
Guests are constantly satisfied by the clenliness, restuarant food and service time and time again. As one Philippines vacationer put it, "we don't even bother looking at other hotels."
If there's one disadvantage here, it's the time from the airport, which is about 25 minutes. To me, it's not a big deal, because I routinely stay at hotels away from the airport anyway, but thought I'd mention it if this might be an issue for you.
As with any travel, check to see if you'll be charged slightly extra for paying in your own country's currency. It's usually a wise move to get local currency when possible (PHP = Philippines Pesos).
Parklane International Hotel
The Parklane International Hotel is located fairly close to the Marriott in Cebu City and both are good hotels here. I'd say the Parklane International is slightly lower in the quality, but at around $80 nightly (or less), it's a better value considering it's still a good hotel to stay at.
All the typical features of a good Cebu City hotel room are there: bath, TV, good furniture, good service, clean rooms, modern look, etc.
One Philippines vacationer called the Parklane International Hotel, "my hoem when I go to Cebu City."
Hotel Fortuna
This is another affordable Cebu City hotel. Like the others we have mentioned, it's centrally located—about 1.5 miles from Ayala Center Cebu and very close to many other hotels in the city.
Most guests are very surprised at the level of service and ammenities given for the rate charged. You can expect to typically pay $70-$85 nightly unless you get a hotel discount (check online).
A couple of restaurants in the area are the Golden Cowrie Native Restaurant, Anzani, and Don Merto's.
Over and over you'll hear guests use two words to describe the Hotel Fortuna in Cebu City: clean and affordable.
We'd advise you eat out if staying here. Many guests have complained about cold food. There are plenty of good places to eat in Cebu City, so this isn't a huge problem, more of an inconvenience, but that's what you get with value Cebu City hotels.
